There's late word out from a report on GSMArena that a very solid source of theirs is confirming that Samsung has definitely decided to go with a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display on the upcoming sequel to the original Galaxy Note:  The Galaxy Note 2.    In addition what they're being told is that the design will mirror the look of the recently introduced super phone, the Galaxy III and will have a decidedly narrower and thinner design than the current Galaxy Note, despite having a larger screen.   This would probably also mitigate any weight gains the larger screen might entail.   The mockup above simulates what such a device might look like.

Other specs that have bandied about, but are as of yet unconfirmed on the new Galaxy Note are an 8mp camera with improved sensor, possibly backside illuminated, 2GB of ram, and new high end Exynos 5250 dual core ARM-15 processor.  Samsung has apparently also decided to move up the release date of the device to September, most likely to pre-empt the introduction of Apple's iPhone5 which is expected in October.  We'll have more information on the new Galaxy Note 2 as soon as it breaks.   So what do you think?  Would a 5.5 inch Galaxy Note be the right move?  Are you looking forward to the new Galaxy Note? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments!
