News is breaking today that the much awaited 10.1 inch follow up to the original Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Note 10.1, which was due in stores by the end of this month is going to be delayed by Samsung so that they can upgrade the specs to a quad core processor, most likely their own Exynos but possibly the Tegra 3.  Previously the device was to have a 1.4 GHz dual-core chip powered the company's latest S-Pen device.  If true we think this is actually a smart move by the company.  The latest devices by competing tablet manufacturers such as Asus and Acer have featured quad core chips, specifically the Tegra 3 so going with the quad core Exynos will make sure the Galaxy Note 10.1 is keeping up with the latest and greatest silicon that is out in the tablet world.  It also will let Samsung tout the Exynos performance vs. the recently released iPad 3.  We'll get you the latest details as soon as we hear confirmation from the company.
